08/10/2007 Memory Hotel draws 5 Sharks
Heineken’s ‘Memory Hotel’ campaign scooped four Shark Awards including two Golds at the 45th Annual International Advertising Festival in Kinsale recently while the Heineken Music Speaker ad was awarded a Diploma.
Heineken’s Memory Hotel campaign was among the top-performing campaigns in terms of the quality and number of awards it won against stiff opposition including Guinness, Budweiser, the National Lottery, McDonalds, Halifax, Bank of Ireland and RaboDirect among others.
The award details are as follows:
Gold : Best Irish Television Advertising Campaign (Memory Hotel)
Gold : Overall Alcoholic Drinks Category : (Memory Hotel - Shouter)
Silver : Best Production / Special Effects (Memory Hotel Campaign)
Bronze : Best Direction (Memory Hotel Campaign)
Diploma : Media / Entertainment / Leisure : Heineken Music "Speaker" TVC
Alongside Guinness these five awards place Heineken as the joint most-awarded advertiser at this year’s international festival.
Heineken Marketing Manager Karen O Neill commented, “We are proud to have achieved two Gold Awards as these are only given out at the judges’ discretion."
The Memory Hotel campaign was the largest scale production ever commissioned by Heineken Ireland.Shot on location in Hotel Quitandinha Hotel, Brazil, last February, it features a cast of almost 300 from Brazil, London and New York.
